Recipe Hack- It's Quick Cacio E Pepe With Parmesan

It's a delicious traditional Roman Pasta dish made with just 4 ingredients. This Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe recipe is fast and easy to prepare, with a minimum number of ingredients that are easily available in any kitchen.


Cacio e Pepe means "cheese and pepper" in Italian. Cacio means "cheese" and Pepe refers to "pepper". The authentic Cacio e Pepe recipe is prepared with Pecorino Romano Cheese. We have used Parmesan as an easier alternative that is readily available anywhere in the world.


This 15-minute quick and easy recipe is perfect for a quick weekday meal or a friendly get-together. It's a rich, creamy, and luscious dish with freshly ground pepper that is super easy to put together and looks so fancy and refined. Here's your easy and quick Cacio e Pepe recipe with parmesan!



Ingredients -


  • Spaghetti Pasta - 200 gms

  • Black Pepper – freshly grounded

  • Parmesan Cheese – freshly grated

  • Olive oil - extra -virgin high quality



Procedure -


  1. Boil a pot of water to cook the pasta. When the water starts to boil, add some coarse oil to it. Next, add the spaghetti to the water and cook it for 2 minutes under what the packet recommends. Drain the spaghetti and reserve some pasta water.

  2. Heat some olive oil in a pan. To this add some freshly ground black pepper. Stir it until fragrant.

  3. Add the reserved pasta water to this, followed by the cooked spaghetti.

  4. Turn off the heat and add in the parmesan cheese.

  5. Serve with freshly cracked pepper and grated parmesan cheese.



Tips & Tricks -


  • You must use freshly ground pepper.

  • Use quality ingredients for enhanced flavor and taste.

  • The spaghetti should not be overcooked.

  • No butter or cream is needed.

  • Pasta water gives it the desired creaminess.
